Churchill Fellowship Urban Agriculture Europe

In 2019, landscape architect Carl Pickens travelled to Europe on a Winston Churchill Fellowship to study world-leading practice in urban agriculture. Carl travelled through 7 countries exploring how urban agriculture projects are contributing to community resilience (economic, social, environmental) and food security. He investigated how these projects relate to a New Zealand context and what lessons might be applied here.
